My story…

Music is a major part of my life. From a very young age, I can remember singing and playing gospel music with my family at home and church. Even though I enjoyed music, at that time I didn’t pursue it as a main focus. Actually, I was in pursuit of architecture, which not many people know.

I’ll never forget my first involvement with music outside of my home church was when a young couple by the name of Oswald and Karen Burke invited me to help run sound for a weekend event in Ottawa and Montreal. Although this was outside of the norm for me, it really opened my heart up to a love for not just music,but for gospel music. The concepts and possibilities of harmonies, styles, inflection, and source of power that gospel music draws from was not only mesmerizing, it was inspiring.

And there began my musical journey.

I was not only a musician, but soon I began writing songs and arranging vocals and music. I was privileged to be the Music Director for Juno Award winning Sharon Riley & Faith Choral for many years. We made some really great music during that time and I wrote a few songs that were released on the albums Caught Up in 1996 with MICAH Records, then Life Is in 1998 with EMI Gospel.

I began touring with different artists, producing, playing, and writing for albums. Soon churches and ministries were connecting with me to support their musical needs, but felt I should be doing more, and that I could do more.

In 2013, my wife and I launched Legacy Music House Inc. The purpose of our company is to mentor, train, and provide support to the Christian music community and to help local churches develop their music and worship ministry departments

I had opportunities to work at various churches like Rhema Christian Ministries and Kingdom Covenant Centre as a part of their music leadership team. With each new experience, I felt the passion for mentoring, teaching and sharing my knowledge with young musicians, singers, and creatives growing stronger and stronger and, from 2017 to 2021 I was privileged to be the Dean of Music at Canada Christian College.

My passion in life is mentoring, training, and teaching the love of music.  I would love to connect with you and see how we could work together.
